Wisdom Tooth Removal

Wisdom Tooth Removal at Fang Dental

Wisdom teeth usually come through between ages 17 and 25. When there isn’t enough room, they can grow in at an angle or stay trapped under the gum. Dr Jason Fang removes wisdom teeth at our clinic at 268 Orchard Road, #B1-11, a short walk from Somerset MRT.

Signs Your Wisdom Tooth May Need to Come Out

  • Pain or swelling at the back of the jaw
  • Repeated gum infections around a partly erupted tooth
  • Food trapping and decay in the tooth next to it
  • An X-ray showing the tooth is impacted or pushing on other teeth

Simple Extraction or Surgery?

An OPG X-ray shows exactly how the tooth is positioned. A wisdom tooth that has fully come through can usually be removed in a simple extraction. An impacted tooth needs surgical removal, which involves a small opening in the gum.

Wisdom Tooth Removal Cost

  • Simple wisdom tooth extraction: S$200–300
  • Surgical removal: S$850–1,950, depending on complexity

The OPG X-ray is charged separately. We do not charge GST.
